Sketching has been a way of communication since the dawn of man. Before written language it was used as a form of keeping a record of events, and for story telling. Sketching is still used today in this fashion it is just done a little differently. In early times it marked an historical happening with the pictures presented through Egyptian culture. As centuries passed we see it again in the paintings of Leonardo Da Vinci in the painting of the last supper. For me sketching is a release of the imagination, and a form of relaxation. It also has marked my own personal history through style, and ability. I can look back through my own works and see my improvements, and periods of my life. When I’m sketching I get the relaxation by being able to release myself into my own imagination.
